Ae Adventure Road Tour

Some of the worlds top riders train in this area and it’s no wonder why. With smooth roads that rise to 2000 metres, a warm dry climate and very little traffic you would be forgiven for thinking you had reached road heaven when you’re riding here!!
Las Alpujarras are the mountains on the southern side of the Sierra Nevada range. A regular part of the Tour of Spain race this spectacular region is home to a fantastic network of roads that go over high mountain passes and drop right down to the coast and the Mediterranean Sea.
We have a great selection of routes for you to follow, most starting and finishing right at the front door of the Ae Adventure mountain villa. The Ae Adventure support driver will be on hand should you decide to ride one of the routes that start or finish elsewhere in this scenic area.
You and your bike will be transferred from the airport to your home for the week in the Ae Adventure mountain base. You can relax and get yourself settled or simply head straight out and we will ensure that you get access to our route cards showing distances, elevation and rough times for the best road routes in Granada. You have lots of options from short trips to routes up to 100 km’s a day on the local mountain roads.
The Ae Adventure villa is at the top of the traditional village of Nechite (Valor) and sits at just over 1000 metres (3,500 feet). The villa is set up for cyclists, with very comfortable rooms and plenty space for you to kick back when your not out on your bike. The south facing terrace is always a favourite spot and if you want to stay out of the sun you can put your ipod into the docking station in the upstairs living room, relax and listen to your favourite music. There’s secure storage in the downstairs part of the villa for your bike and any other equipment you bring.
Most nights you’ll also get to sample the delights of the Ae Adventure chef. Freshly prepared home cooked healthy meals using locally grown produce will be served up through the week. You will be delighted at the standard and our guest book comments pay testament to the quality of the food you’ll be served whilst you stay here.
There is also a free bar for wine (or beer if you wish) and this will be kept well stocked.
After the first day on the bikes you’ll meet Natasha who will be on hand to deal with any aches and pains throughout the week. She is the best massage therapist in the area as well as being a qualified yoga instructor.
There’s no guide on the road tour holidays but if you do want to be shown around the area or take in some mountain biking whilst you are over here this can be arranged in advance.
